Welcome to baby Bethany, born to Angela and James at 9:17 a.m. on Monday, June 13th, weighing 9 lbs. 5 ozs, measuring just under 21 inches.

Announcing Nate Stott's mission call, received April 27th, 2005. Nate will be returning to Oregon, serving in the Oregon, Eugene mission. He enters the MTC on July 13th.

Jennie and Ryan on their recent trip to Cambodia. Ryan's brother and sister also went. Ryan was originally called to serve his mission there and started learning Cambodian in the MTC when there was a civil war and his call was changed to Chile. So he's always wanted to go to Cambodia and since we had frequent flyer miles to use, we figured we might as well go somewhere far. This man is 83 and all the Cambodians will tell you about him and how it is unusual for them since their life expectancy is only 50 years old.  

Some of the vilages we drove by. Perhaps even worse poverty there than I saw in parts of Africa. 

The most amusing part of their culture to me. One moped will fit an entire family of 5. Children, babies, old people - everybody on the moped.

Stott family

Stott FamilyAfter 2 1/2 months of frustration our internet is up and running again. Now I'm trying to remember how to do all this! I tried to add a couple of pictures through "hello". We'll see!

We had a great Christmas with all our family home, as you can see in the pictures, if I did it right. Now Angela and James are back in Houston, Nate is filling out mission papers, Stef has a new job, and the rest of us are just plugging along.

I have been occupying myself with knitting, learned from Mimi. I've made lots of baby hats, and am now trying little slippers. I crochet around burp cloths and make a baby hat for each new baby in the ward. I won't say what's next on my knitting list because it just may be a Christmas present for my granddaughter, due in early June. I also have some responsibilities in my church calling that are currently occupying my time. We have stake conference this weekend with Elder Wirthlin as the visiting authority. He has asked that the stake Relief Society president speak for seven minutes on Saturday night on the topic of building faith. I am grateful to have the talk prepared after spending most of Saturday doing it. I am using Mother's testimony in it (Steve's suggestion - which really got the whole thing going). Then, on April 9th, we have our stake women's conference. It will be an openhouse where sisters in the stake display things they make and do. It will include such things as power point presentations, one of which I hope will be a program about the honey business of a family in our stake. They took "best in State" for their honey from Wyoming clover at the 2004 state fair. I have a jar of honey for my siblings (for Christmas) but I think Martha might be the only one who has received it. I expect an outbreak of stress related pimples about a week prior to the event.
