We enjoyed another sister's gathering in February between Carolyn's and Kathryn's birthdays at Susie's house. It was fun to be joined by our cousin, Diane, who brought these darling cards for the birthday girls.
Diane has a sewing machine that does great designs and stitches. The cards were a big hit.
After dropping Katie off for afternoon kindergarten, Linda joined us just in time for lunch. We had Wheatberry Waldorf Salad, Cream of Asparagas Soup, Vegetables, Hummus and Pita, with these delightfully delicious cupcakes for dessert.
Shauna Francom brought the cupcakes in honor of the birthdays (70 was a big one for Carolyn, who still looks 50).
This is Susie's Valentine's table, with "romantic" pictures from family history as a centerpiece. I don't know how well you'll be able to make them out but we have Henrietta with Sherman's head in her lap during their courtship, and Keith Stott kissing his wife and son goodbye at the train station as he leaves for his mission to Argentina.We enjoyed the usual handwork and visiting into the afternoon.
