Bridal shower

We had a great time at the bridal shower held for Jesse and Camille last weekend. Kay Shean hosted the party at her beautiful home up in Charleston, Utah. Some of the little girls even got to ride horses after!

Matthew the Reader

Being born to Scott and Melissa, Matthew didn't have a chance when it comes to the reading genes. He's getting an early start and loves to read with Melissa (or whoever will read to him) all day until he needs a diaper change, food, or sleep. He even smiles at the sight of a book. Since he's such an avid reader, Melissa took it upon herself to get him fitted for his first pair of glasses at the Build a Bear Store. What do you think?

Hunsaker reunion

Last week we had our Hunsaker family reunion. Everyone was here! We had lots of fun - which included going to Kangaroo Zoo to jump in the bounce houses and play miniature golf:

Shauna also headed up getting a karaoke machine which was a blast. We discovered all sorts of hidden talents! Lorelei was definitely the biggest surprise with her perfect, "Oh yeah"s and other background singing, along with some great moves!

I'm pretty sure the neighbors were a little surprised at all the cranked up rock music coming from that house of that grandma-that-lives-by-herself!



We even managed to pull off some great family photos at Busath's. It was so fun to all be together!

I hope you enjoy all these pictures! I sure had a fun night and enjoyed taking the pictures. I just wish I would remember to put in new batteries before I go to a party. Yet can you imagine how many pictures I'd take if I had a good set of batteries!!!! Uncle Mike and Aunt Kath thank you so much for another fun year!!!! I have started out this entry with some pictures of Charlotte from last year! We MISS YOU CHARLOTTE! This year Zar and Erin are donating a tree in honor of Charlotte at the Festival of the Trees. So there was a darling display with a picture of Charlotte and a piggy bank for anyone to donate and then fun butterfly magnets to enjoy in memory of Charlotte. The night was started out with POPS being thrown. Then some great food and fun entertainment! We had some great Lip Syncs, and poems and songs. Then our own fireworks before heading up to the Country Club for their fireworks. The last pictures are taking on the lawn of the Country Club. Before I could finish my entry my mom posted a comment. So I'll add that here. . . . It is so fun to go to Kath and Mike's every Fourth of July -- especially fun to see all the Hayes family -- and all the Young Family and enjoy delicious food. Lip Sync performances this year by Kay and Fred, Mike H., The Annens with Katie Nielsen,song by Jesse Hayes, Sam McGee by David Young. Did I miss anyone? Of course the fireworks by Jesse and Zar Hayes, then off to the Country Club. Alexis and Neal Courtney were missed but their children were darling in red, white and blue. Many others were missed, but the group, as one can see, was big, and the party, lot of fun!!

I'll just add that Alexis and Neal were off celebrating their 10 year anniversary! We saw Weston and Stephanie for a few minutes before they left to the rodeo where Stephanie was singing! Well thanks again to all the Hayes for a wonderful 4th of July! Love Julie

Baby Aunt Carolyn Charlie

I sent some photos of Charlie to the family today and the response from Matt on this one below is that he looks like Aunt Carolyn. Compliments to you Carolyn as everyone in the valley that sees him thinks he's beautiful. I do agree there is quite a likeness there!

Any baby pictures of baby Aunt Carolyn for comparison?

P.S. Baby announcements have been done for weeks, but I am too lazy to address envelopes. Maybe I'll get them out this week!
